Hi all,
Halloween is here which means lots of “spooky haunted house walks" around the neighborhood with my toddler. I do the in-the-trenches work so you don't have to so here's my trauma-avoiding tip of the week. Don't introduce your kid to a life-like Freddy Kreuger decoration if he's just warming up to touching a benign, cartoony inflatable dragon.
In other news, I uploaded all of my posts to Medium so follow me if you use the site (and listen to the articles instead of reading them).
As always, feel free to share feedback.

Sensory Meltdown or Tantrum: Which one is it? according to the OT Toolbox.
“The main clue that the behaviors the child is exhibiting is sensory meltdown related is that the behavior does not achieve a want, need or goal.
